This applet is based around the game commonly known as "Mastermind". In the default game, the computer chooses a random combination of four different colours out of a possible six, and you have ten guesses in which to work out what the combination is. Each guess is displayed in a history panel, along with an indication of how many pieces in that guess are in the winning combination, and how many of those are in the right position. This version has been designed so that you can vary the game a bit. Select the type of game you want, and press the button to start playing... This applet may take a little while to start up the first time you run it, so please be patient... Oh, and so you don't get confused, in this game grey represents a blank space, not a colour. Finally, this applet only works properly on version 4 browsers and better... |
